The Bomb

Punk Rock from Chicago, featuring Jeff Pezzati (of Naked Raygun and Big Black) on No Idea Records. Also features member of the Methadones and our good friend and soon to be Chicago legend Jeff Dean.
Musically The Bomb carry on the legacy of Naked Raygun and Pegboy delivering big sounding, melodic punk with a distinctly Chicago spin. There's no mistaking Jeff Pezzati's voice and it's perfectly suited with the melodic crunch of Jeff D's guitarwork (for want of a better word, sounds like some wanky phrase a guitar mag would use). The new record features a host of guests including J Robbins from Jawbox/Burning Airlines and Bob Nanna from Braid/Hey Mercedes if that floats your boat.
Not only do they sound bloody great, Jeff Dean made a bit of a reputation last time he toured over here for being a drinking behemoth. This was pretty much unfounded because he's a complete lightweight but I'm sure he'd be happy for the reputation to remain upheld so buy him a drink and watch him fall into a stupor.
