Failures' Union / LIVE IN LEEDS/ April 1st 2010
WYSAS Presents
The Failures' Union is a mid-90's influenced indie rock band from Buffalo, NY. It features current and ex-members of The Exit Strategy, and The Grail and Lemuria. They released their second full length "In What Way", this fall on Paper and Plastick Records.
For a free Failures' Union sampler, go here.

Bedford Falls is not an emo band from Germany, an indie-rock band from the Pacific North West, a metal band from Arkansas or a pub-rock band from Edinburgh.Bedford Falls is, however, 4 friends making music in their spare time. They’ve been doing what we do together since 2003. We wonder where the time went too. Think melancholy punk rock that has been compared to bands like; Husker Du, Buffalo Tom, The Moving Targets, The Lemonheads, REM, The Weakerthans and Leatherface amongst others.

The Dead Reckoning is a rock 'n' roll band with punk rock roots from Leeds U.K. They have infiltrated and mutilated many bands from the West Yorkshire punk rock scene over the years, including Voorhees, Buzzkill, The Sex Maniacs and Achtung Everybody.

One more band will be confirmed.
A club night may be confirmed afterwards in the same venue.
Gig time: 7.30pm,
Venue: Upstairs at Santiagos', Grand Arcade, Leeds.
Door: £4 in

The band went on hiatus in 2006 and went their seperate ways. They went on to form bands such as The Draft & Chris Wollard & The Ship Thieves, and of course vocalist Chuck Ragan has become a sucessful solo artist.

This is one of only 3 UK gigs and is the only northern date the band will be doing.

The Bomb, Mob Rules, Facel Vega at Nation of Shopkeepers, April 13th 2010
WYSAS bring you...
The Bomb

Punk Rock from Chicago, featuring Jeff Pezzati (of Naked Raygun and Big Black) on No Idea Records. Also features member of the Methadones and our good friend and soon to be Chicago legend Jeff Dean.
Musically The Bomb carry on the legacy of Naked Raygun and Pegboy delivering big sounding, melodic punk with a distinctly Chicago spin. There's no mistaking Jeff Pezzati's voice and it's perfectly suited with the melodic crunch of Jeff D's guitarwork (for want of a better word, sounds like some wanky phrase a guitar mag would use). The new record features a host of guests including J Robbins from Jawbox/Burning Airlines and Bob Nanna from Braid/Hey Mercedes if that floats your boat.
Not only do they sound bloody great, Jeff Dean made a bit of a reputation last time he toured over here for being a drinking behemoth. This was pretty much unfounded because he's a complete lightweight but I'm sure he'd be happy for the reputation to remain upheld so buy him a drink and watch him fall into a stupor.
Plus support from:
Mob Rules - Dark and brooding hardcore punk rock from these Leeds locals – think SST Records, Negative Approach, Crossed Out. In your face and proud of it.
Facel Vega - South Wales’ finest emotional hardcore exports. Think Dischord Records, Ebullition Records, Torches To Rome. Fans of early to mid 90s emo will not be disappointed.
At Nation Of Shopkeepers.
THIS IS A FREE GIG SO JUST SHOW UP AT 8PM AND PUT BEER IN YOUR BODY.
